Agriculture Informed Therapy – Tier 1: Preparing the Soil
The three modules in this Tier strengthen the foundation laid in Intro to Agriculture. Through our multi-media format, you will gain an understanding of current challenges in the agriculture industry and the unique issues farmers face. We’ll also talk about the history of farming by Indigenous peoples pre-contact and about Canada’s history of marginalized farmers. Finally, we’ll discuss stigma, identity and barriers to receiving care and introduce you to the Johansson family, where you will begin to apply what you’re learning in our case study (AIT in Action).
